I know you hear these kinds of questions all the time. Where do you go if you have an idea for something and don't want it stolen from you?

I have an idea for a very marketable program but of course I have no idea on how to make it or if it's even possible at this juncture.

This would be for a program on your computer for email like your outlook or netscape messenger.

If anyone here is or knows someone who is trustworthy mail me at mike@searchany.com or pm me.

As far as payment my first thoughts are a partnership but I could instead workout an agreement of funds for total rights to the program.

LOL Yeah that's about it.

I'm not going to mess with a patent or anything. All I want is first dibs at the market. Patents are mostly useless because a slight modification is all it takes to reinvent your patented item.

I'm less concerned about that part of it as I am about finding a trustworthy and dependable programmer.

One that will be killed of course after finishing his/her misson. So with that said a person with no close friends or family members is preferred.

Also it's not like I reinvented the wheel just a simple idea that people would/could want.

Well I want it anyways...

Heyder,
Write it down, certify mail it to yourself and don't open it...then you approach everybody in sight, tell them your idea...they will tell you it won't happen...then run off and create it themselves. Then down the road, you sue the companies that have the closest product to your idea....
I think that is how the guy the came up with the intermittent windshield wipers did it <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon38.gif>

Just as long as she doesn't throw away my favorite baseball card.

Probably would make more money with the lawsuits then the origial idea.

Hey the built in virus checker is a good idea but what about updates?

No my idea is different. I'd let it out here at abestweb if only members could read here but this is public ground and you never know who is watching like Bill Gates!

Oh all right since everyone is pulling my teeth to get this out.

I thought it would be great to have your email program set up so that instead of allowing all mails to be accepted you could set it up with a preapproved inbox feature like an address book that only allows emails that you give permission to come to you.

Maybe nothing good for us webmasters who display our emails public but for grandparents or anyone else who just wants friends and family to email them this would be great because no more spam at all.

Hell yeah I could set it up so the only spammers allowed in would be mine with no way of stopping them.

Better yet I could make it so that at the bottom of every message there would be shopping links or I could variate the messages themselves with links to shopping.

Heyder,

Just when I was gonna give you a resource, you post your invention

Hey Gates ... at least give credit to ABW

Seriously it *IS a good idea but we all have "personal" email accounts for F&F (Friends and Family) no need for a PIN CODE or otherwise.

Erm, I think when GameSpotMail was running it let you do that very thing. It's been awhile, though, so I can't be ROCK certain of it, but I remember noticing that or something very similar.

They had a number of privacy options, probably since a lot of teens would sign up for mail at GameSpot!

Hate to be the rain on your parade, but I thought I should go ahead and say it so you can check it out before hiring a programmer!

LOL Well I wasn't really thinking it was that big of a thing but I was serious about the question ( How can you find someone that's trustworthy ) DO you have to setup those agreements on what do they call it non disclosure or something????
