I got an e-mail saying that an anti-virus software reported that my site (babylounge.com) was spreading a virsu called JS_SEEKER.

I looked in Google and found a page about the virus.

It tells how a user can get rid of it - anybody know how I can get it off my site?

Thanks,
Shawn

Shawn, I could be wrong, but I don't think it spreads via a web site -- I think this is an email virus.

Also F-Secure and Computer Associates

Interestingly it looks like a Trojan picked up from a porn site, so I guess they're mistaken about you spreading the virus. Hmmm.

I've got a few different JavaScripts on the site that I got from javascriptsource.com and other sites - any chance the author of those scripts enabled a virus to launch?

I think it's unlikely to be a trojanised script you're using, but there's no harm in scanning all of them.

Make sure your PC has up-to-date AV software and test all the javascript pages.. you should get an alert if there's an infected script.

In fact, check your antivirus software:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>Has the latest virus signature
<LI>Scans for ALL files, not just executables and Office documents.
<LI>Is actually active and running all the time
And, obviously, I was wrong about the mode of transmission.
