Hi!

What command must I use inside a perl script to create a new directory?

I tried
mkdir "dirname";
and
mkdir("dirname");
but can't get it to work.

I'm quite sure permissions aren't the prob though.

Thanks!

mkdir("path/$dirname", 0777);

It is probably the path part that is missing.

mkdir("/usr/home/www/site/$dirname", 0777);

Nope, it's not the path part that's missing, because I want the script to create a dir in the same folder as it is now.

Maybe the problem is dir permission setting "0777" missing... I'll try that later, thanks!

LOL, you won't belive this ... I found the problem: I got those ERRORS because the I wanted to create a dir named "test" but this directory already existed!

Thanks anyway!
