Ok, I feel that I have enough PHP and MySQL skills to dive into this datafeed stuff. Datafeed 101 has been completed . Now on to the next class and next set of questions ... I want to look at things from a business and marketing point of view.
What exactly do most of you do with datafeeds? Like, do you look for products that interest you and put those into a database? Do you put the entire datafeed into a database?
I guess I'm just looking for a discussion of how affiliates use datafeeds to help maximize earnings. From a marketing standpoint, not technical. Of couse I"m not asking anyone to divulge their trade secrets, just trying to get a general idea of where to start .

Whether you use all or some of it is really a matter of choice. Whatever you think is going to work best for you and your website, pretty much the same as when you are making product pages from network link generators.

Personally, I generate thousands of static html pages, interlinked within a category structure.
