    I know the <H1> tag is important for Google but sometime it does not look good on the page. Is the <H2> or <H3> tag as effective? or is there any workaround?

    Thanks

    Use CSS to make your H1 look the way you want.

    Or alternatelety you can use H2 in place of H1, and H3 in place of H2, etc, etc.

    Just add this between your HEAD tags:

    <STYLE TYPE="text/css">
    H1 {font-family: arial,helvetica; font-size: 7pt; color: white}

    Change the parameters to suit your site.

    Alternately, use inline CSS:
    <h1 style="font-family: arial,helvetica; font-size: 7pt; color: white">
