I have a page on my site where I want to put in a weather update search box from weather-dot-com.

My site is all CSS, no tables. The script is as follows:

    script src='http://voap.weather.com/weather/oap/USNY0996?template=TRVLH&par=1003329256&unit=0&key=17122858d912aca77c39633db587151b'>/script

The script does it's job. Gets the search box and displays perfectly. Except the box is flushed left on the page. It would be much better looking if it were centered, but I can't get it to move.

I have tried all of the positioning codes that I know of. Even created a div class to try to float it. Nothing budges it. Not even the old $nbsp works (& changed to $).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

edited to add: Maybe I am being too picky, but how a site looks and feels is important to me.

Have you tried splitting cells or inserting a table with a positioned cell?

No. Haven't put in a table. If that is the only way, then it will be my last choice.

Thinking now that I may just put it on a page by itself. Still thinking.

    Thanks,

    <table border='0' cellpadding='0' cellspacing='0' background=
    'http://image.weather.com/web/services/oap/magnet_htravel.jpg'
    width='270' height='175' align=center>

    Try that lil' change.

If you use that script it's putting in a table for you.

Thanks Buddha. When I saw your suggestion I thought it was the answer.

Unfortunately it wasn't. Didn't move the box at all.

    Still trying.

Hmm... I'm guessing you have it in <div>, is the <div> wide enough? Notice the table is 270px wide.

Nevermind... I see. I'm fiddling with this the wrong way. My falt.

You are right. It is in a <div>. The main body div is 400+ pix, so that isn't the problem.

I tried putting it in a page by itself. Same result. I think that someting in my stylesheet is conflicting with the script alignment. Don't have a clue at this point.

Got it add "text-align: center" to your div style or CSS.

    Thanks Buddha.

Another good try. Still refuses to budge. Tried it with inline style and modified the stylesheet.

    I appreciate your suggestions.
