My host made changes on the server so I can no longer use LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE etc to upload my database. PHPMyAdmin no longer works either, tech support was no help. So I am off searching for the answer.

Meanwhile maybe someone here can give me a clue. I am no PHP expert. Just barely get this figured out and they change it one me!

To be more specific LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE is now disabled on the server.

You can use PHP to load a database but your host ought to support Perl and that's what I use.

I have a perl script you can look at. It takes in comma delimited data and completely rewrites a table. It also updates a second, category table. It may be more complicated than you need but perhaps you can trim it down. PM me if you'd like to look at it.

Well after several emails back and forth to tech support did not answer my question. I emailed them back and thanked them for not answering. They then called and told me about a shareware program MySQL-Front It seems to be working. So an entire day was wasted.. why don't they post these things on their support site!
