I renamed a few of my pages recently and need to redirect visitors to the new versions.

Is there any benefit to doing this via javascript or html (using meta tags)?

How do you guys deal with this?

Use a link in the page informing the change of filename.

Redirect using meta-refresh with 5 seconds delay.
    You can also use javascript.

    Just a stop-gap solution.
