    Breeze,

    How about:

    function openSpawner() {
    url = "URL OF POP UP HERE";
    width = XXX; // width of window in pixels
    height = XXX; // height of window in pixels
    delay = 300; // time in seconds before popup opens
    timer = delay*1000;
    }

    They delay 300 secs is 5 mins. Might be too simple for what your looking for.
    Continued Success,

    Haiko

    Thank you Haiko! I'll give it a try.

    What does it do? It delays the spawner from loading to the taskbar :P

    It's a trick to snag a shopper by the butt 5 minutes after they exit his site.

    This type of code can be used as an "adwhore" but knowing Breeze, I seriously he would use it that way. That being said, there are many instances where you could use {without abusing) this code (ie. user abandons cart and then you, the merchant, can offer them a coupon or deal after they left).

    Right, but five minutes later the visitor might be on one of my web sites, all of which are pop-up free, and state that on the home pages.

    So now the visitor thinks I'm a liar.

    I don't like pop-up traps, and I don't like time-delayed pops. If you want to use pop-ups then you should do them on your own web site.

    I'm not judging you, I'm judging your actions.

    What possible justification could there be for setting a pop-up to go off at a time when a visitor might not even be on your site? Even if there is a reasonable justification, how do you justify it when it's possible that the visitor might be on someone else's site when it happens?

    So the visitor leaves your web site and arrives at mine, where they see a popup that's unrelated to the page they're browsing. Visitor panics, closes windows and never visits my site again. Possibly assumes they picked up a parasite while visiting my web site because your actions don't implicate your web site.

    Do you get why this is a problem for other web site owners? Do you get why this is a problem for internet shoppers?
