    Ok, I have learned to change an html to php and just insert php code where I need it. Now I want to have the whole script run then display the results. I want to do this so I can use variables in different parts of the page with out having to re-run little sections of PHP.

    How is that done?

    Thanks
    Thanks,

    Hi Doug

    I'm not sure I understand the question but you can run a php script to get all the variables you need for that particular page and then call them up in each section with an echo/print command.

    If what you are referring to is running different queries through the one script then I think you can call the script up and send it different variables along the way and pick the variables up using the GET function...

    Not sure if that's what you are after. I'm new at this too.

    That is the easy part.

    Have a file called variables.php (for example).
    This file will have a list of all the variables that are constant.

    Example:

    $contact = 'bob@site.com';

    Then, at the beginning of each page you would include this file:

    include( "variables.php" );

    later on down the page where you would normally have your e-mail address, you would use the $contact variable instead.

    <a href="mailto:$contact">e-mail me</a>

    Now when you change the $contact variable in the variables.php file, it will change all through your website.

    For variables that are page specific, I do this. At the beginning of the page (on my pharm sites) I have a variable called $drug.

    Example:

    $drug = 'crack cocaine';

    Now, everywhere on my site that I have the variable $drug, you will now see crack cocaine instead. This goes for the title, descriptions, text etc.

    Hi,

    Sorry . . this does not have anything to do with php, but since you are discussing scripts thought maybe you can help, or refer me to the right place to find someone to help.

    I am trying to do a site using one of those top ten scripts. I downloaded something but I don't know anything about scripts I took a look and just said Yikes and closed it up!

    Where can I find someone to do this for me and just have them upload it to my site and pay them whatever they feel their time is worth?

    Thanks for any advice you can provide.

    Thanks Doug,

    Since I do not know how to "shoot you a link" without posting it here, I have created an e-mail for you to contact me regarding this.

    E-mail me at TopTenScript@aol.com and I will reply with the information.

    Thanks Again
