I've been doing well with ink, but I don't have the coupon banner (the one that looks like a coupon but it's really just another ad) on the ink-dedicated pages.
For other things, I've found that some coupons (the kind with a coupon code) can do really well, but they're a pain in the butt because they expire and it's too easy to accidentally leave an expired coupon showing.
The exception is that some merchants use coupons as a last-ditch attempt to dump nearly unsaleable product. They also don't admit that the dud's been sitting on their warehouse shelf for years, so you have to use your judgement for the product-specific coupons. By product specific, I mean if a place is promoting one particular product (like a particularv game, for instance) over others in their line.
