I uploaded a folder which contained 3 files including the htaccess.
I deleted the entire folder -- everything inside the folder was gone but the folder itself won't delete. Naturally I'm assuming something went wrong because of the htaccess

I'm doing a menu thing and couldn't see the actual page until I uploaded. So it was just temporarily uploaded.

Some FTP clients won't let you (easily) see the .htaccess file. You can either change your settings, or change your client. If you have shell access, then it's even easier.

In your FTP, change the settings to view the hidden files also.

You can view all the files in the folder by using the command "-al".

In WSFTP, you add the command on the right side text box below the "mkDir" button.

Then go to the folder and delete the file.
Go up and delete the folder.

    Hope this helps.

You Can Also Set it to do this every time you connect... WITH
    WS-FTP

    ----------------
    CLICK "CONNECT"
    CHOOSE A "CONNECTION"
    RIGHT CLICK IT
    GO TO PROPERTIES
    CLICK ON "START UP" TAB
    CHANGE THE "REMOTE FILE MASK"
    TO -al
    ----------------

Then everytime you connect you will see all the hidden files... without changing anything..
