I was scared to post this at the Amazon site in case I looked like a total noob.
I just noticed (via the categories in the search box) a whole bunch of "beta" categories - car parts, lifestyle, home furnishing, etc.
They take you through to paper catalogs online - for phone orders and links to (ebate-ed) catalog city.
In short - few commission earning opportunities there.
I can't see any announcements or discussion on their boards about this, has it sneaked in very recently, or did I miss the initial fuss?
... finding it hard to believe I'm the first to raise this
Are you Crazy?

It's been there for quite a while.
In all honesty, I shop more frequently at Amazon than almost any other merchant, and I have no patience for catalog results. I want to order ONLINE and I want to order NOW.
So the traffic you send who wants to order online will most likely not be interested in the catalog results, IMO. YMMV
Frankly, now that third party items are being tracked, I find it amusing how small a percentage of my sales are third party items. It's usually media items which don't earn such a great commish anyway. In the higher ticket items that were the bulk of last year's income, most folks want new, factory warranteed products. Again, YMMV.

It's a bit like the Google Catalog thing. Pretty useless all-in-all.
All your commission are belong to us.
