Victor just helped me figure out a problem and I think it would help others also.
I was doing "test clicks" from a few of my pages, then checking the BettyMills stats page to verify they were showing up, but many weren't.
Doing a test Victor suggested showed that a "click" only counts when it sets a fresh cookie. It will not be counted in your stats if your PC already has a cookie set from an earlier BettyMills visit. So I would click a bunch of times but only the first click would register.
Blocking reading/setting of cookies in IE (Tools/Internet Options/Privacy) let every test click register at the BettyMills stats page, and they showed up within a minute or less.
This issue won't affect normal visitor click-throughs, nor sales logging, only rapid-fire test clicking by one person.
Victor can probably give a more detailed explanation of what's going on, but I thought I'd mention this to avoid having anyone else tearing out their hair -- and taking up Victor's time -- over this issue.
