Has the problem with the bots talked about in this thread been fixed?

My clicks look more or less normal now, but I'd like to know for sure.

I found a way to avoid this on my site.

All of my links go through "http://www.amazing-bargains.com/g/MERCHANTID-LINKID.html".

I use robots.txt to block "/g/". Most (but not all) bots obey this.

The "g" program redirects to the correct link. If the user agent or IP address is a known spider or bot, I return a 501 Forbidden error instead. Keeps my clicks clean.

    Some other benefits it provides:

    1) It makes it harder for people to steal my site or links.
    2) It gives internal tracking of my clicks (since all clicks go through my site first).
    3) It allows me to easily fix links when they were set up wrong or change.

If I can answer for Andy on this one, yes the problem was solved a couple months back. Your click stats should be normal and not affected by the bots.
