    "Dear Affiliate Partner,

Have you heard? Be Free recently merged with ValueClick, Inc., a leading provider of traditional and interactive marketing solutions for advertisers and affiliate partners.

So what does this mean for you? More money!

We are excited about the additional revenue opportunities that the combined Be Free and ValueClick companies are now able to offer you - opportunities that complement your current affiliate business with Be Free. In fact, the other ValueClick companies paid out nearly $2 million in affiliate partner commissions in the first quarter alone! The bottom line is that there are now more opportunities for you to earn even more money, and we will be introducing them all to you in the coming months!

To get you started, we invite you to check out onResponse and ZMedia, and apply today:

onResponse: Earn money - up to $20 - every time your audience members take actions such as applying for credit cards, signing up for free trial subscriptions, trying free products or requesting free information from onResponse advertisers like Miller Lite, ESPN and Meineke. As an affiliate partner, you choose what banners and links from our advertisers to promote on your site or through your opt-in e-mail campaigns. The top affiliate partners of onResponse earned over $70,000 last quarter!

ZMedia: Earn money every time your audience members sign-up for newsletters, surveys and other featured registrations with ZMedia advertisers like Universal Pictures and Hewlett-Packard. You promote ZMedia advertisers through opt-in check-boxes on your registration page - or if you don't have one, through pop-up boxes that open from your site. The more check boxes your audience members select, the more you earn. The top affiliate partners of ZMedia last quarter earned over $100,000!

Taking advantage of these opportunities is easy. Simply review ValueClick's affiliate partner quality standards and then fill out the simple application form. Your application will be promptly reviewed and you will be notified in just a couple of days if you qualify to take part in these money-making opportunities. It's that easy!

We're very excited to provide these additional money-making opportunities to you. They're great ways to expand on the money you now earn with Be Free. So don't wait - apply now! and start earning more money with ValueClick and Be Free!

    Best regards,
Be Free, A ValueClick Company "

Nice to see ValueClick approaching BF affiluates hoping we will jump on the FREEBEE train to spamm heaven for their merchant base. Can we all say blind co-regs -opt-out spammers and a service to "scrub" your spamm list that add in a few million new names. VC obviously doesn't mind blasting out billions of e-mails to a variety of lists they broker. Onshore and offshore "spoofed servers" and spamm marketing enhancement tools.

So webmasters be sure to sell out your visitors by leading them to join a spamm list of their choice. Free this and That ..such a deal and we even offer driveby adware BHO pluggins. Help out the spammers while earning beer money. We all know they need a few million new names a month to make thta car payment.

    >You promote ZMedia advertisers through opt-in check-boxes on your registration page

And the best way to do that is space your page so they see registration information boxes, then a submit button - and don't see the 200 already checked spam me boxes unless they scroll all the way down (a lot of people will see submit and just assume that's the bottom of the page, never noticing the scroll bar say otherwise).

Hey it must be clever marketing, Microsoft does it.

My ripp on ValueClick is that this is the only press release in 4 months, since the merger. This one fails to warn webmasters that Onresponse stiffed thousands of them, and that VC uses BeFree as just a front end for parasites -e-mail list brokers and runs a spamm hosting distribution service complete with a "list" washer service.

They are left with a real weak stock purchase spin when the Feds want to close down all gorilla marketers and e-mail opt-out and spamm farmers. They cure for this is to place a 5 cent tax on all e-mail messages billed througgh your ISP who has to maintain a opt-out/spamm black list.

    EcomCity,

    "parasites -e-mail list brokers"

This analogy is offensive and rude. If you are jealous of the success rate that so called spammers achieve I would be happy to show you some marketing tips.

Not all Email list brokers are spammers dude!

The really funny thing about BeFree is that they never made money spamming. Have you read their quarterly statements? They never got near realizing the potential of their customer base.

All their toeing to the 'dupers and contempt for affiliates and winking at blatant scams and spammers led to their selling out at a fraction of the capital they raised for their business.

Imagine if BeFree had the long term objective of building an affiliate network. Instead they always chose to err in favor of the quick buck...that never came.

"Not all Email list brokers are spammers dude!" Then police your own brokerage firms and lobby for/pass a fair e-mail marketing "best practices" guideline that requires certified double opt-in confirmations before they can be shared or sold to others. Anything elese and your part of the 120 billion spamms sent out this year.

The problem with all the adnetworks is that they are NOT adnetworks - they are accounting networks.

There job is to keep the buy, sell, transction costs and comissions due and payable to affiliates from merchants.

It is not to adevertise any merchant site.

Until they figure out what they are selling, they are all doomed to the provence of scum and fools.

Well the congressional committee investigating Worldcom is sure getting some insight on spam hosting services. The underpinning of the Globix/ Digex and other UUNET e-mail servicing divisions will uncover what really causes WorldCom to carry 50% of all e-mail traffic on the internet.

It will get interesting when the Bankrupsy proceedings uncover the hidden links & cash flow to the overseas spamm farms who needed Worldcom pipes and interfaces for the other 50% of the Net's e-mail.
