CJ says they track across computers once a user registers and do not rely on the cookie, is this the same for BeFree?

    Thanks

Since this change was made at CJ, I've noticed a slight increase in Registrations that become Active. For September, my percent of Active Registrations was a little over 71%, which is up slightly from previous reporting.

I'd still like to see it a little higher than that, perhaps around 85%.

I thought according to Todd, that it wasn't something new, just something he was making people aware of. Which is why I was wondering if it also worked that way at Befree.

Sorry I let this topic slip by.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I'm not sure I understand the question.

You're saying that once someone registers that tracking is no longer done by the standard methods? That any subsequent bid is tracked by tying the registered user's bids to the affiliate they registered through?

That's not what happens with us, I don't believe, but let me understand the question first.

    Chet,

I was thinking that this was a new CJ procedure, based on the E-mail I got from eBay. I just re-read the message, and it doesn't indicate that it was a new procedure, it just clarified how the Registration moves to Active based on the first bid.

I don't know how long it's been tracked this way at CJ, but I'm getting more Active Registrations over the past couple of months.

    I see.

I'll confirm, but I'm pretty sure it's cookie based.
