1. Why does BeFree allow them to do this?
2. Does Gateway actually think their affiliates are stupid enough to promote this for free?
It's one thing to have a toll free number available. It's another thing to have "phone only" offers like this on a merchant's site. It's a huge slap in the face to try to get your affiliates to promote those offers!

The last time I checked, Gateway only offered a 14 day cookie.
Too bad, because I used to work on computers
and monitors for a living and wanted to promote Gateway as their computers are of superior construction.
Fourteen days is just not long enough for a comparatively high-priced newly built computer.
Gateway should seriously consider offering their affiliates a 90+ day cookie if they
want webmasters to offer Gateway on their web sites.
