    Agree with all nut 7.

There are so many ways to get traffic to your site.

    SE's
    Directories
    Email Lists
Descent link exchanges that provide traffic
    PPC
    Joint ventures
    PR - Paper and Web
Land based advertising - Papers, magazines, leaflets, inserts
    Viral marketing
    Stationery - letterheads, business cards

    Anyone think of anymore?

I think that priyanka helped me out with the idea of creating a niche market, which is what I'm trying to establish, and creating an ezine for people that subscribe to see good deals weekly. I think reviewing the products is essential and if possible quote well known publications showing that the product is solid and well liked. And a major tip for new affiliates is that you always need to ask questions with the merchants. It will show the response time of the company and how friendly they are. Any company can sell a great product, but you have to make sure they are a reliable company for your customers sake and for the sake of your company. I have found that researching merchants in forums like abestweb and talking with other friendly affiliates, you CAN succeed in this business. I thank abestweb for helping me get started with this business because finding friendly people and wonderful tips like these is priceless. Learn from others that have been doing this from day one, they have to be doing something right!

    Thanks,
