    I've just had a couple of wisdom teeth out and with the help of mama's little friends I'm feeling no pain so, bored and sick and tired of all the disgusting porn spam (the septic tanks have stopped) I've been getting lately that manage to slip through the filters.

    I've traced them and they go through to the one hosting company who have something like 30 different hosting domains for this smut!

    If I get another one, I'm going to set up a hall of shame for spam hosting companies and list all the mongrels

    ps. Not resposible for my actions it's the novacaine and codiene

    Hope you feel better soon MouseJockey as we all are fed up with the damn spammers.

    My contribution was sent today to FTC.

    FTC Commissioner Eileen Harrington;

    I participate in may webmaster forums and know the impact of spammers costing all those who have internet access millions.

    After 6 months of tossing around my published cure to ending all spam, even those involved in e-mail marketing could not challenge that it wouldn't stop the spammers dead in their tracks.

    My proposal was simple. Spam that can't be delivered to ISP customers in-boxes is no longer anything more than wasted web ink. Put in place a system for all POP3 e-mail server to recognize digital e-Stamps as the only deliverable e-mail allowed to be forwarded to the ISP customers.

    The Federal Gov't should recognize the purpose of regular stamped mail regardless or origin. Simple proceedure would be to set in place a e-Stamp metering distribution service where individuals -businesses -ISP services could purchase e-Stamps to automatically attach to their outgoing e-mails.

    No one could purchase digie-Stamps without identifying themselves and their ISP POP3 e-mail provider. This removes the main cause for the proliferation of spam ...hidden identity and spoofing e-mail return addresses.

    ISP services lose millions on bandwidth and spamm storage charges. With digital e-stamps purchased in bulk they can offer 500 free e-Stamps to every customer monthly and charge to their clients ISP accounts for any overage. Legit bulk e-mail marketers can purchase Digi-Stamps to assure delivery at a small cost in money, but a huge cost in transparency. Fines and enforcement would be simple proceedures if mass e-mail marketers were caught not honoring individual removal requests. The revenue generated from ISP digi-Stamps could be used to lower customers monthly internet access fee.

    Proceeds from the sales of digital e-Stamps and fines could be used for consumer privacy campaigns or worldwide charitable causes. Of course the official issuing non-profit organization would deduct actual expenses.

    The world asks for this and only the greedy not willing to stop spamming would object. No digi-Stamp = No delivery. My last suggestion to the US government involved changing the way they do purchasing. I suggested to the head of the GSA and Dept of Labor that they would never see another Washington Post headline about Uncle sam spending 240.00 on a common hammer or 1500.00 on a Toilet seat if they followed my advice. That advice was to open up all Uncle Sam purchases under $500,000 to competitive bidding. The hook making it lead to changing the way USA purchases common needed items and creating the first ever sustained defeceit was ....Uncle Sam ....like Walmart ...had to wire transfer or EDI/EFT the funds to the winning bidder upon proof of shipping. Up until the time of that suggestion it took 60-120 days to get paid forcing Uncle Sam to get raped on the pricing as the cost for slow payment.

    No more headlines and the Gov't administrators, in that Georgetown bar that afternoon listening to my brainstorm, eventually made their way to someone with Bill Clintons ear.

    Thanks Mike and Charlie

    Well it worked, the spam has stopped, from that company at least!
    I traced the spam back to the hosting co with over 30 different domains they were using to send spam.
    Each time I received spam from them, I'd trace the domain and then send it back with their domain details, owner, address and a PLEASE STOP THE SPAM.

    Got a reply from the owner/ceo saying I had been removed, and so far, touch wood, no more porn spam
    This calls for a nana

    PS Mike, that's a good idea

    Mj,

    Are you sure it stopped or is your vision just to blurred right now to know for sure?

    Only joking of course. Glad it's stopped for you and hope you feel better soon. {{{hugs}}}

    Oh nice B, you know I'm feeling vunerable right now

    It really worked B...I've only had 2 serves of spam in the past couple of days...a girl could starve lol!
    I may have to do this with all the spammers, time consuming but at least I don't have to look at the digusting porn spam.
    Wahoo

    [hugs] B for chasing and trying to nail the mongrels

    Hey Jason! They seem to want me to have a larger penis too. Should I, as a woman, be worried or are all women looking to do this to themselves these days

    My kids crack up -- my 14 year old daughter will yell from the kitchen "mom, I got penis mail again". Did I know that word at that age? would I say it to my mother? Must be the internet's fault LOL

    mj,

    You know I love ya, but have been worried about the use of the computer while you are under the influence. But it seems that maybe it's really a good combination. Must have been the same yahoo sending me my porn spam. I haven't gotten any the last couple of days either. You did good. I'm sure they'll just set up shop somewhere else, but at least we get a few days reprieve.

    You take care of yourself and do try to stay away from doctors for a bit. Please....
