Probably an object lesson in not buying cheap and nasty domain names.. the .uk.co "domain" has been shut down by the Colombian goverment and thousands of sites have gone offline. A dispute arose after the government took over the running of the .co TLD.
See this article at The Register. Personally I prefer .co.uk names because you even get a proper paper certificate

I wonder what will happen to the companies that sold the uk.co domain names? I know that if someone in the UK set up a site for me and sold me that name and did not warn me that it was acutally a domain for another country.
I would certainly not be happy at all and would be looking at taking some sort of legal action against the company that sold me the domain name and website.
Will be interesting to see what happens.
