    Happy New Year All!

    Some guidance required.

I'll be taking about £800 over the next 3 months in affiliate payments (just starting out). How does the tax work on this? I'm based in France with a UK bank account (I'm english)for tradedoubler commission payments.

Do I need to pay tax on the money I've earnt?

Any guidance from seasoned pros? Please help me out.

Well, yes you'd need to pay tax at French rates at some point. If the earnings are in the EU then there's no way to avoid it.. the problem is working out the conversion rate I guess.. you'd probably need to do that at the tax point.

Of couse I would never condone not paying tax, but it's quite likely that £800 would slip under their radar if you forgot to declare it. Tsk tsk.

Yep, you have to pay tax where you are a tax resident, might be the UK or France.. depends on your circumstances.

I'd agree with Moo though. Tsk tsk

also, you might want to check out if there is a certain amount allowed to not pay taxes on. I know that in germany, if you make less than about 8000 euros a year, you don't have to pay any taxes on that money at all.
