Three big merchants in the past week have left, meaning a hell of a lot of work changing links... why are all the rats jumping ship?!?!

It isn't just a UK thing, a bunch left both Performics and Linkshare as of March 1 also.

Hmm...that's interesting. Who are the merchants ? I have a client on UKAffiliates and we're trying to decide what to do with the affiliate side of things over the next few months. In the meantime, the 9,999 day cookie stays !

Feel free to pitch me a deal, Mr Mackin. UK company with dollar prices, ships to the USA.

Same for me, left a few holes...all from DGM, makes you wonder...meanwhile Tradedoubler have gained some nice partners...so all in all i'm up a few quality merchants, and the non converting boys in the bedrooms have been ousted.

Seems like DGM are having a big clearout or Merchants are not getting the reddies out and waiting for True Tracker to get online.

Not a big fan of UKaffiliates anyway, Luckily none are what I promote, but it seems something is amiss that this amount of Merchants have all been 'Suspended'.

    Hi

Yes they are having a big clear out and there are quite a few leaving as well as being kicked - we got a nice one coming over from them this month hopefully and a few others to follow over the year as we try to grow certain hotspot areas.

Plenty leaving CJ too if you have an ear to the ground - it seems only TD really want to try and provide some comptetiton for us this month in the UK as far as pitching and aquiring new big brands go.

I hope one day when we come to America that your big networks over there have the same aloof reponses when we want to get a few big brands on board

This year the scales will tip back in the favour of the ethical networks who drop dubious software companies and actually care about working WITH affiliates assiting in all areas including actual resolution of problems & not lip service. Interesting times are ahead.

Prediction for most popular networks this year, can be divided into several bands.

    1st: Buy.at & POR
    2nd: AW, AD.COM & OMG
    3rd: DGM & TD
    4th: AF
    5th: CJ

There is going to be a lot of linking swapping over the coming months.

    SamyT,

lol - no I am not, I wouldn't mind shares in them and a couple of others to boot. I am just your normal affiliate like anyone else.

I do have a very small number shares in another network purely as an investment, which was bought via our banking broker, their value has almost doubled, but they are well down on my personal opinion list.

    Vrindavan,

Ad.com is refered to as Advertising.com
