It was just brought to my attention that CMoreClicks.com and their SmartAds are using ClubMom to market themselves.

Their Power Point that's used to sell their service proclaims on one page:

    "CMORECLICKS DELIVERS DESIRED DEMOGRAPHICS
by popping up when user is doing desired activities

    For example:

    To reach a network of:
    MOMs

...SmartAds can pop up when a user navigates to ClubMom."

I'm waiting to hear back from them on a cease and desist that has been sent over them.

Great to hear your taking action on these parasites who deceive web surfers into Popup Hell.

    Shawn,

It is WhenU all over again!

Look who the very familiar "Partners" are:

    Findwhat & CJ

    Haiko -

I heard back from them, and it turns out that WhenU powers the SmartAd technology.

could you (or anyone!) post a generic cease and desist email that we could all use

My "cease and desist" wasn't a legal version just yet - I sent them the following, and if I am unable to get results from that, we will follow-up with a more formal communication from our lawyer:

"I am writing to respectfully request that you remove ClubMom from any collateral material for your company, and also place a block in your system, so [insert name of predatory advertiser] users will not see your pop-ups on ClubMom."
