I updated Ad Aware the other day and it found 265 references, files etc. of spyware, mostly from this file directory. Some of the files say b2b.

I looked through the files etc and can't figure out what it is. I don't remember seeing it before. I may have installed it and don't remember but I doubt it.

I really don't like things appearing in my computer and not knowing how they got there. And then to find it is some kind of spyware colony kind of upsets me.

Any info would be helpful, thanks.

It's the latest trend from the Spyware/Adwarez guys and used by called "drive by downloads". You only have to visit a site and it auto installs like to porn 900# dialers. They are working on using it it spamms since they just can't wait for you to visit to infect your computer. What other evil lurking on this hisden "backdoor" remains to be seen.

You might get a clue where it came from by checking the dates - if not the files, the folder should be the right date.

    Thanks all.

It looks like Ad Aware got all the suggested files in that article, but since I never downloaded anything called Kazaa or whatever it was, I would think it would be safe to eliminate BDE completely.

    Thanks again...
