Is it just showing up as a cookie?

I can't help but think it's not much of an issue if it's just a cookie, but at the same time I give Adaware the benefit of the doubt.

If you really want to know where it's coming from, then

    Close your browser.
    Delete that cookie.
Open Windows Explorer to your cookies directory
Click the "Modified" button so the arrow is pointing downward (that puts most recent cookies at the top)
Re-open your browser and go about your business. But every time you go from one site to another, click out of and back into your cookies directory with windows explorer and see if it's showed up again. When it shows, you know that's the guilty website.

To keep it from coming back (assuming you're using a recent version of IE):

    Tools
    Internet Options
    Privacy
    Edit (at the bottom)
Type in fastclick.com (com or net, or whatever it is) in the address box and click block.

fastclick puts a cookie on your computer so you don't get hit with popups and such a 2nd time within a certain amount of time when you visit a web site that uses fastclick as a advertiser.

Which cookie you get depends on which code the web site is using. They have session based, 24 hours and I think 72 hour cookies.

You will get a fastclick cookie if you visit my site - http://www.broadwaymidi.com/

Also I believe Fastclick has an option to allow you to opt out of getting hit with any of their ads, but I forget the url.
