EVERY affiliate -merchant and network staff member lurking here needs to read this complete article on the history of parasitic "Affiliate Applications" and how they inbreed and worm their way into every corner of the online advertising industry. The Bibliography/Glossary page at the end contains ALL the pertinent links to other current news resources on this subject .... http://www.ecommercebase.com/article/888/148

Endusers are effected too! CRN (Computer Resellers News) ... A recent survey or computer shopowners shows 42% of all computer repairs were caused by endusers unknowingly downloading spyware/adware type programs that corrupted their windows settings and were the #1 cause of system malfunctions.... Say goodby to the Dupers/Parasites legitimately arguing they offer a better "user experience" while shopping. The duped endusers just don't know how to remove this crappola, or in most cases that it is even installed on their machines.

I knew it all along "someone has been sleeping in my bed". This parasatic software is indeed a serious problem. Unfortunately my kids use my computer too and oftentimes i find there are systems changes which they swear that they did not cause. Always left me angry since I know what I have installed and not installed. They are probably clicking willy nilly and installing options that they simply dont even have a clue what theyare installing.

NEW RULE for the network meeting:

If an "Affiliate Application" BHO program can't be uninstalled completely from the normal Windows "add-remove programs" section then that parasite/Duper gets immediately banned from the network.

The expense in time and lost productivity to companies and endusers to DE-LOUSE their machines fro parasitic Ad-nausium viruses is in the millions.
