Looking at the ad I would take a guess it is possibly a new permutation of Bonzi Buddy?

    Hello Wayne,
That bonzi thing was probably a third parasite, i run Adaware several times and now got rid of Bonzi.
Actually bonzi is hiding the parasite search results from the competition.
As i was not able to move it, you only could click on it.....

Printed out all the advice doxdesk gave me, hope to have a clean pc tonight.

    Mokum,

You just happened to be on Yahoo. What triggered it was "Hotel Reservations." Most likely you would have gotten the same results if you had been on another search engine. Save Now could have also been triggered if you just went to any web page with "hotel reservations" in the text or "hotel" in the url. That's the whole premise behind "contextual advertising."

You know, maybe google and yahoo just need people to sign agreements that, if they land on y or g's home page and are running parasites, on their PC, they agree to have internet explored voluntarily removed from their PC or something. Bury it in a couple pages of small print.

The user goes to google, google says, hey, by the way you are runing parasite X, pause for a moment while we complete the terms of your user agreement, * POOF *

Then, perhaps, we could finally get the attention of the millions of people that download crap onto their PC without really understanding what the end effects are.

I Wonder who would popup out of the sewer on this "contextual keyword" phrase?

    Ad wank B-a-HO advertising scumbag

It would probably be like the lyrical callings of the Pied Piper luring the lemmings and rats. If the online Ad industry would transfer 50% of their employee pool to a job cleaning the Internet Port-a-Potties it wouldn't effect sales by 2%. It also would clean up the smell caused by the Ad-nausium pukers.
