Now that I've found this site, I'm cleaning house and remove all unwanted sites.

I've just discovered that ShoppingGuru - one of our affiliates - is another on the "suspicious list". However, there doesn't seem to be anything posted about them in the last few months.

I also read the following (see below) on the ShoppingGuru profile, is it true? Does this mean they are no longer of concern??? Is that why they aren't talked about as much lately??? Or am I just being naive....

    ------------------------

    POPUP COUPONS SERVICE
This service no longer drives much traffic to our website since our compliance to the "Code of Conduct". Popup windows appear over merchant's website showing available coupon codes (if any are available). THE USER
CANNOT CLICK ON THESE OFFERS AND THEREFORE SALES CANNOT BE DIVERTED. At this
time, the service functions as an advertisement for ShoppingGuru.com only (Powered by ShoppingGuru.com graphic). The service is not advertised any more and will be discontinued within the next few months.

    --------------

Are there still concerns about ShoppingGuru or are they in compliance?????

Unlike the other coupon BHO's the owner of this one decided not to impliment the hijacking and cookie setting features. That was the last I checked into this as a SOP at Shopping guru.

    PaulS,

When I spoke to the guru himself he said his license would be up in May and that he would discontinue it (see also http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&...9&m=2126051981 ) but it appears that they renewed their deal and will still pop up coupons. I haven't tested it for CoC compliance recently.

Do you think publishers are still upset, worried, etc. about ShoppingGuru?

They do provide us with some sales, but I'd rather support our publisher partners, even if it does cost us in the beginning.

On the other hand, if it's not an issue.... well, those sales are always nice to see.
