One of my best sellers got hijacked a few days ago, I finally realized it couldn't possibly have gotten that many hits and made no sales. I was trying to figure out how to change the source code when I looked in my webeditor and it was in there as if I had put it there.
Thank heavens I'm learning what to watch for!!!!

Are you saying someone has altered the source code of the links on your server Ms. Woodtick or just that they are diverting your links when they are served on the web?
One day parasites and their ilk will be made illegal, I bet a few Lawyers will be pissed off when the day comes.

Well, I checked the link on the site and source code was changed. I was going to overwrite it by uploading those pages again when lo and behold, that code was in my web editor!

Being here just taught me a ton about looking for parasites and totally cleaning my machine. Hubby tends to install just about anything and we were totally infested.

Took me over 1 hr to clean all the junk out!

I am soooooooo glad I joined up here and that I can read and listen.

See what a newbie I am? I thought I kept the tag, but no.

    it should have been http://unitedspecialties1.com/SMARTBARGINS/index.shtml,
Instead it was http://SmartBargins/source?xxxxxxx and another number.

Next time I'll bring it here immediately!

    Jasc Namo.
Had this problem once a year or so ago, but the change didnt show up in my program, just on the server.

I am assuming it was an inside job from my puter!

Hey I use Namo too.. it's great I still use version 4 though, haven't upgraded.

What's worrying about this is that you're saying that the parasite changed your HTML. That's *evil*.

    Any idea what it was?
