Don't use just hate people who spend more for the shipping ...then for the product

I once had someone buy an item for 7.99 and the standard shipping was 4.99 ... go figure!

    Must have wanted it bad.

Don't spend that all in one place, Austin!
So, correct me if I'm wrong....you get a nickel when they click through and bid - even if they already registered elsewhere. And if they click through, register, then bid you get $5.

At least they raised their cookie duration up to 30 days.....

yeah.. but there is something fishy with that. I thought a visitor had to register first to bid, then the lead commission was 4 bucks (before the change). Now, I guess, someone can bid without registering. I remember reading ebays message when they changed the commission structure. I thought at the time something didnt look right. Of course I could be totally wrong. does anyone mind posting their message here, as I trashed mine. Let's peek this thing out one more time. Could this new commission structure be a diversion from the leads that now are suppose to produce 5 bucks? I dunno if the 5 cent is really all that great if it diverts visitors from producing an action that generates a lead.

The way I read it, you get 5 cents when they follow a link to ebay and bid, $5 if they register.

then "The cookie will expire when the user places one bid on eBay or 30 days have passed"

meaning the cookie expires immediately if they bid (?). So you earn $5.05 if they register and bid before the cookie expires.

Of course there is also the 35 days lag time for reporting registrations.

The cookie will expire when the user places one bid on eBay [so, does this mean that if they register, after placing the bid, the cookie is expired, therefore we do not get credit for the lead?] or after 30 days have passed and the user has not bid on an item on eBay

Yeah, I smell something fishy. I havent got any leads for ebay this month at all. I have had a couple of "sales" (nickel commissions). There is to much explaining being done in their message to affiliates for me to trust. Someone's trying to be slick, IMO.

    May be,

It's because you get the commission on the FIRST sale you have from Ebay.
    So,
    1. If none register from your site in 30 days, then cookies are going to expired.

    2. If someone register from your site within 30 days, then cookies will stay up until that 30 days expired. This is for tracking of the FIRST sale. 2 possibiliy:
2.1. The person bid, give you commission on the sale, delete the cookies.
2.2. The person doesn't do anything, wait 'till 30 days expired, then delete the cookies.
