a DEAR ABBY forum topic. Ssanf made a comment in the topic "PLEASE READ THIS" and made an excellent point about the importance of discussing social and personal issues surrounding affiliate markerters. Read the comment - it was a really great suggestion.

What do you think?

HAIKO.....You could consider calling it "The Water Cooler", "Meet me at the Water Cooler", "Water Cooler Gang", "Affiliate Water Cooler Meeting" or something like that.

Just a thought.

People who work alone at their computers don't have an opportunity to hang out at the water cooler and get the informal support and validation from co-workers that is inherent in a "real" job. This might help and I have a feeling that it could become quite popular.

Maybe you could have a contest to name it.

What a great idea!
It's hard blowin' off steam to friends or family about how google may have dropped a page or sales have been extended or a million other things when they haven't a clue what your talking about!

The situation Jada found herself in is not unusual, our friends and family suddenly see the money coming in from what they call "just fooling around on the computer"
and want to jump on the bandwagon.

They don't see the 4 or 5 years hard work, frustration and sleepless nights we've gone through to reach this point.

I still help anyone who asks, but they must be willing to put in the hard yards and demonstrate some sort of committment...
sadly most just want a turn key money machine....so somewhere to vent our frustrations, blow off steam and a place to trade words of encouragement when things get you down...would be great

Need a name for the new forum as Dear Abby is a TM! We'll put all personal stuff there like Birthdays and the such.

So, ... if anyone wants to think up a name and write a brief description for it .... I'll the best one 1,000 free exposures on the ABW BE.

Ummm, let's see, what about:

"The Vent" tis the room where everyone goes to vent their frustrations or short comings. LOL!!! I'll have to think some more on this one.

Thanks Haiko for accepting the idea.

Till I see better ....

I'm going to, effective immediately, do the following ....

1. Change name of lounge to midnight café and use that description.

2. Create the "personal forum" as "A Best Web Virtual family" and use that description.

So Austin, according to my math you did a double a double whammy 2,000 free credits in the BE join and I'm give you the credit (if you want it hidden PM me the ad specs and I'll put it in another network )

I have it from some very reliable sources that Austin and Haiko had this thing rigged from the get go.

Now that I have your attention, how about a forum, topic what ever you call these things, called "Take It Out Back"?

Open to members only, no guest, for those who need to get a few things off their chest.
Keeps the boards nice and clean for the general public, while we duke it out in private.

PMs should work even better for duking it out without being "on stage"!

Leader,

You mean... sort of like what you just did with your you <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>"on stage"!<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>remark.

You do seem to have your nose pointed up, don't you?

Tribune, rather, it seems that you have made it a personal mission to take offense at my posts.

And what do you mean "sort of what I just did with my 'on stage' remark?" I didn't send you a PM...

As for the nose, by the way you seem to expect unquestioning agreement to everything you post, I'd say that it's YOUR nose that's "pointing up", actually!

Tribune, Leader's original "on-stage" remark was a common-sense observation that some "discussions" would be better carried out in private. Your reaction puzzled me, to say the least.

Now you're simply being ridiculous. Are you usually this rude in person?

THINK before you post.
