Halo. Can't beat it. Especially when you can get at least three players. Even better is when you make every player invisible. We've spent many hours & bourbons playing this. I'm a huge fan of sniper type games & this is one of the best I've seen. Even better than multiplayer GoldenEye on N64 (which I played right up until we bought Halo).

Project Gotham is great in single player, but the multi-player is lacking.

That rally game (can't recall name) is pretty cool in multiplayer mode.

Formula 1 2002 is not terribly brilliant in single or multiplayer.

I like the Star Wars: Obi Wan game. I had it for 5 days and beat it. The multiplayer is cool as well.

I also played one of the football games, and the multiplayer was great, but I can't remember the exact name of the game...

I'll second Halo.
My buddy bought an XBox and that came with it.
He isn't a real gamer especially compared to me.
He has played and finished it about three times now and whenever there is a get together at his place we all HAVE to play with him.

If you are into golf, they have a brutally silly golf game that we all like too,
Redneck golf, or outlaw golf. It's one of those.
We like golf and when we get rained out we play on my ps2 or his xbox. His wife went & picked up a golf game for us and got the wrong one.
Now it's the only one we play on that system.
Silly, but fun.

Chris,

Maybe one of us should give away an x-box as a bonus. My only fear would be that once some one had it there rankings would drop and pages would be outdated.

Pete,

If Halo is that much better then Golden Eye, I guess I will have to start working on my wife to allow another game system.(she just doesn't understand why we have 6 besides the computer)

HALO

Hands down. No questions asked.

I have a couple of friends that come over at least once a week so that I can kill them.

Actually, they are getting pretty good now, and I'm beginning to die more frequently.

No other game even comes close to what HALO offers. I'm waiting on Unreal Championship, and Brute Force though. The screen shots and the general buzz is pretty strong, but it may be a while before they are ready.

Any multi-player cooperative play (as opposed to multi-player combat play) Xbox games? I'm on Playstation2, but there is a serious lacking in good cooperative play games.

You can play Halo in a cooperative play mode, but you can only play with one other person, not a squad.

When Brute Force comes out, there are 4 players and each one can be played by different people. The good thing though is that if you only have 2 friends with you, you still have a squad of 4, but the 4th is an AI character.

Yes, it seems Halo has the lot.

The co-operative multi-play allows you to complete the entire game with two soldiers working side by side. It's great fun when you can work out stategies & tactics to complete the game.

I'm hanging for Halo 2 & online play

Well, by queer coincidence there are two playstation2s in this house -- one still in the box with the receipt ready to go back to the store... perhaps instead of cash... an Xbox...

Hi craig

Right now it's be cheaper than some of the single sale commissions I'm seeing

So looks Like Halo is the game to get then.

Thanks for the feedback all

Cheers

I also have an xbox.

But I'm utterly disappointed about the quality of the games.

And Norwegians won't get access to xbox live until it has been rolled out in the whole world first. (probby +1 year) Xbox live was one of the primary reasons when I shelled out $400 for the sh|tbox, and I'm preparing a HOT letter to our local Microsoft office. I've been had!

Halo is probably the best game, but I still think it's booooring.

At the moment, Battlefield 1942 is the King of Games. (PC - http://www.battlefield1942.com ) Nothing beats kicking real people's behinds! And I use a headset/mic to communicate with my friends/teammates when I play.

The game is soooo good. You won't get much sleep if you first start playing.
