Man AOL sucks, My computer was lagging so bad, I canceled my AOL account and uninstalled AOL. What a difference! my computer is working better now. And I'm happy. Now I'm going to be getting DSL Soon. Am I the only one on 56 K? of abestweb members?

You may be now...

I used to have 56k but just this Monday I finally got CABLE!

I kind of remember seeing a few others say they had 56k at various points but maybe the frustration already got to them by now. At least now I know I'm not the LAST person to get cable!

I'd love to put that as a quote on our site BTW, I think there are a few users on dial-up. I still use dial-up on one of our computers at home and it isn't that bad...pretty fast actually...at least for dial-up. Also, there are plenty of people using dial-up and more signing up all the time. Dial-up is one of our top products, coming in at #3 on the list of products

I think I'd have a nervous breakdown if I had to go back to dial-up. Though maybe it wouldn't be that bad since I have a faster computer now. Umm, nah. I have a need for speed.

Jason congrats on having something better than AOL. It sucked the life out of my old computer when I used them.

Leader, ain't cable grand?

It's like they say in the local Road Runner commercial here ...

WARNING:

Once you have cable ... You will NEVER use dial-up again

I keep a reserve dial-up freebie account for use when the cable modem service falls over (it does this about once a month). I mean.. you can't live without Internet access can you?

And in this business, time is money. The increased cost of cable will pay for itself many times over with all the extra pages you'll be able to create

Well I finally went to the cable company today to get signed up for access and should be moving faster once I get everything installed. I plan on staying on AOLs "bring your own access" plan though. I need to keep the email accounts and there are some marketing advantages utilizing AOLs message boards as well.

Zervo,
You're making a lot of money already just from an internet cafe. How much do you think you will make when you have a cable connection next year?

You're nicer than me...my kids have 28.8 on the computers in their rooms

We're on cable with the two main computers in the house, but I do miss my DSL. The cable isn't as good or as reliable as the DSL but this old house (and hence, old phone lines) just can't do DSL.

It's true, once you taste the speed of cable, you don't want dial-up again!
I have one cable and one DSL connection. This way it is virtually impossible to be without speed....
