Hi all,

There was some discussion a couple of weeks ago about folks pitching in to help me with travel costs for The Big Meeting on Nov. 7. I had hoped to set something up with assistance from another person to send contributions to, but it didn't work out.

So, it seems the easiest way to help would be to contribute to my PayPal account. I'd rather not post that info publicly, but if anyone is inclined to help, please send a private message and I'll let you know the details.

I estimate that my total costs might run in the range of US $2000-2500, which would include air fare, hotels, meals, ground travel and reasonable incidentals.

Thanks for all the support and encouragement you folks have been giving so far!

    Elisabeth-
The Interactive Affiliate Network would like to take care of your hotel room for two nights. Can I get you a room near the Yale club for the 6th and 7th, or will you be arriving on the 7th?

I sent you a private message. Your post is the nicest thing anyone said to me all day!

    Buggy,

Please let me know if this is suitable.

Gordon, what provision would there be for upgrading the bike seat?

Ain't NUTHIN' worse than having to make miles on a seat that doesn't quite fit!

    Elisabeth,

Just in case the meeting gets a little tense, I'm sending you some packs of gum to chomp on (one pack is bubble gum - will help you get their attention at the meeting - two pieces at once make bigger bubbles but you risk a blow up on your face), a variety of liquor bottles (airline type so they fit easily in your purse) and five pounds of chocolate.

Also, keep this in mind during your travels, gum might work for plugging leaks in bike tires. Don't drink the liquor while riding the bike. Cold as it is the chocolate should not melt.

Elisabeth how ungrateful can you get?

I offered this out of the decency of my heart and all you can do is complain about a the racing seat.

    Great Offer Andy. WTG.

By the way, Andy, do you have any of those wireless video cams? You know, the type they show in those annoying pop-ups all the time. Maybe we can get one that looks like a flower she can pin our her blouse.

Hey Andy, you've never had the opportunity to visit Brandon or south of there huh. Riding on the bike carrying her new recorder, our farmer boy border patrols may not let her in with such a sophisticated piece of machinery you offered her.

    Elisabeth,

Shawn Collins has passed up on his iAfma.org affiliate commissions for October. (Not that he has ever kept any commissions anyway. June/July/August/September he threw into the food & drinks at the New York Chapter Meeting BBQ, held last month.)

I see he has earned $52 as at this afternoon.

I'll match that out of my own pocket to make it $104

iAfma.org will double that to bring it up to $208

It's not a lot, but I guess every little bit helps.

Send me your PayPal address privately.

    Bon voyage!

    Herby

PS Let me know how the fund raising has gone so far. If you need more, I'll ask the iAfma.org membership to throw something into the hat.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I know you are doing a great deal by helping out and we all appreciate that, but should not the iAfma membership be asked regardless of what Elisabeth comes up with. From reading posts there they are aware of what is going on and some have voted for Elisabeth. We are running out of days here and I suggest we try to get funding from every source we can. Thanks for whatever you can do.
