My latest Affiliate report --> http://blog.qisoftware.com/2004/10/a...ober-2004.html. Why would I have more clicks throughs and impressions when I first started my affiliate relationship v. now when I have a lot more traffic?

Honest blog discussion, problem? I use the same advertising methods that I used before...

    Q...

I experience similar behavior from time to time, where it just doesn't make sense why one day I get several clicks and other days just a few or none.

But I've come to the conclusion after listening to several recent threads on this forum that my traffic levels are still too low to be paying much attention to statistics. I get all giddy when 20 clicks come in for a single day, but then I get discouraged when none of them turn into orders. Then a couple days will go buy with only one or two clicks, but sales on both of them.

It just varies a LOT, and I'm trying not to let that get me off course while I try to build traffic to my sites.

Are you using the same ads or are you rotating them?

I kind of pulled it out of the attic since even older threads can sometimes help others who might still be having the same issues or questions...

The average shopper doesn't buy on the first visit to your site. But they will buy on the second or third visit. That's why you need to have a good site to hold their attention and bring them back. Create consumer confidence and buzz to attract more customers.

Also, watch out for banner blindness.

If you have the same ads up every day, visitors will get used to them. Rotate your ads.

Same goes for positioning. I'd say it might be useful to move around your ads a bit and put the blocks in different places to keep things fresh and moving.
