Due to the recent current activitys and Overstock pulling there forum to read only and tiger direct. I'm really starting to wonder which merchants really care about affiliates and really are committed to there affiliates here at abw? Could we have the merchants here and affiliates post there feelings about this and which merchants really do consider us a partner, and not just talking smack? Merchants should I premote you? and why?

    Jason:

I think each merchant may wish to deal with their issues in their respective fora.

I see no reason to explain myself / ourselves to you in this thread.

    Jason,

The OS forum ... they asked me to remove it (legal reasons) I brought it back and made it read only after they didn't pay, to this date They still haven't paid so ...

The TD thing ... it is not Andy nor Bruce, it's Gilbert, the CEO, deciding that his Webmaster can get #1 google rankings so why pay or compete with affiliates for that traffic?

The rest of AMS ... look at the offers and remember it's business.

That being said ... there are many merchants here who really do care (business wise) look at GSI they are really working and creating some kick @ss offers, BDS, netMagazines, Mondera and there are many here that work with and do for affiliates ... you'll see who they are very easily.

I filled complaintS with the BBB and D&B also

But above and beyond that ...

$167 a month is too much for them to talk to their affiliates ... gotta love OS!

    Haiko- Thanks for the information..

This really catches me: The TD thing ... it is not Andy nor Bruce, it's Gilbert, the CEO, deciding that his Webmaster can get #1 google rankings so why pay affiliates or compete with affiliates for that traffic?

LOL. Hmm yeah sure.... not in a million years, I'm dropping TD right now.- Gilbert I know your reading this! You just made the worst mistake ever, Andy had everything under control. Andy If I were you I would work for another company. Andy send me a message when you do find another program that values your awesome support and affiliates. Okay... I'm starting to really agree td wasn't a good idea. pages dropped. Viewsonic pages dropped! Back to 80k like you used too!.

Ha, ha! Apparently it's going to come as a huge shock to him when the peeved-off affiliate webmasters don't vacate the #1 spots--but put competitors up there instead!

Judging by the amount of irate postings, I doubt Tiger's going to see listing #100 once the next update happens, let alone #1...

I posted this comment at: Important - Affiliate Datafeed Information area. Just wanted to make sure everyone has a good idea on how we can get back a bit at a time.

There are a lot of sites out there that let a person write a review concerning the product or store. Wonder what would happen if numerous people started writting what they felt about TigerDirect?

    Just curious. (hint)

Be very careful about writing anything in anger. Or anything inaccurate.

While I agree 100% this stinks and pretty much kills them as affiliate partners. You are going to scare off 500 good merchants from ABW or being affiliate friendly if this is the reaction they think will happen if they wrong affiliates in any manner.

Sure this is an extreme case, but I bet many AMs don't see it that way.

While the shortness of time to comply is ludicrous (and I will ignore), the message itself was straight up and not misleading. "We are going to pretty much dump all of you - sorry but too bad." While the message stinks, it is still 100% better than people who come here and say they are 100% for affiliates while at the same time stabbing them in the back the whole time *cough* aluria *cough*.

I've got all the emails for the customers that sent me mail looking for products, over a thousand. Guess it is time to announce a new merchant, and remind the buyers of good business practices. I see - according to my Simon - a few more computer closeout companies offer datafeeds and are cheaper than tiger on many products. Lets see, one of these and one of these, OK - my site now will have more options and cheaper prices than Tiger. I wonder who will be number one on Google NOW. Not just me but many other affiliates that got scre... today.
