    LOL,

it's a huge festival here in India, Kinda like Indian-Christmas.

Since 5000 years (or more?), Indians celebrate diwali by lighting "diyas" (lamps) and bursting crackers for 3 days, today is the main diwali day, and tomorrow is the hindu new year (for most hindus).

So the "Buddha" celebates a "Christmas-like" Hindu Holiday?

    Whew!

"Bursting Crackers" sounds like great fun

Chief_Beef, I've always suspected that Buddha is quite happy to celebrate anybody's festival!

Diwali is quite big around here too, usually there's a firework display or two as well. Many large towns double up their Diwali illuminations with Christmas ones.
