I gave up on 'em. I was die-hard Braun...had an ultra that lasted a few years, then it died. Then I went through 3 or 4 that lasted about a month each before I gave up. Good thing I got the replacement warranties, or I'd be out $90 a pop! Norelco is good, but I don't like the 3 heads...
I now use the Gillette Mach 3 blades on a nice handle my g/f got me...nothing gets closer than that IMO

I was surprised to find the new Shick Quattro blade work very well indeed - doesn't seem as bulky as the Gillete triple blades.

My wife won't let me use an electric, not close enough. If you have a good relationship get a razor.

Nothing beats a Mach 3, I had a top of the range Braun and even a one blade razor shaved closer.

I can't use a blade in my padded room so I use a fairly cheap electric three header and it works great. Shave is close and doesn't rash my skin like a blade does.

I use the Norelco 5801XL with Lift and Cut and it is an awesome shave every time (even if I'm half asleep). The thing pulls the hair and cuts it - basically just move it around and it does an awesome job. I personally recommend it.

As long as we're on the topic, what's the best, cheapest, blade you can pick up at the local super-market? Mach-3 has been suggested, any other thoughts? Grocery store brands sure don't cut it. Might as well use a butter knife.

3 1/2 year bump. Mine is dying out, figure I would get a new one. Emphasis on Electric Shaver. Saw the Christmas thread and Geno said he liked the Panasonic ES8078 which has good reviews at Amazon and Michael Nunez said the Braun 360 was great. Any other recommendations? Thanks.

When i was in college i used to work for Philishave promotion part time, but Braun was much better than Philishave anyday.
