Ok... it really is not that big of a deal... BUT!

It drives me crazy when I don't know if I am dealing with a chick, or a dude. Some of you got names that make me think yer female, while others got names that make me think yer a dude. Really no big deal, BUT! it driver me crazy... ahhhhhh!

Charles would be my real first name, however Chuck is usually given to males, too. especially the big variety

Okay, "writerguy," there's the clue. Plus, I come right out and use my "real" name in my sig file -- Gary Speer.

Oddly enough, I have something of a high-pitched voice for a guy and I've had many people call me "ma'am" on the phone. Irritating.

(That's the fun of it all, though, on the Internet -- for all you guys know I might really be a 13-year-old Latina??)

    Haiko is 100% Male.

This topic makes me laugh ... you don't know how many Jamies, Brooks, Jodys or whatever I've spoken to and was waiting to say "hey man" or "good afternoon" to when I called them.

[No offense to Jamie, Brook or Jody ]

Makes you wonder what the parents were thinking when they give their children names that are so...generic. Although there are a few actors with names that you'd swear belong to the female sex:

    Carroll O'Connor
    Shelly Novack

I'm sure there are lots more, but I haven't even had a full cup of coffee yet this morning! I can sometimes tell the sex of an ABWer by the things they post, and the way they post them, but not always. There are a few "Pat's" around here!

Patrice is actually a common boy's name in France - the French form of Patrick. But here in the states, it's usually a girl's name. My father's name is Pasquale and my mother wanted to name me after him, but didn't want to pick Patricia because it's so common. But she could have saved herself some trouble, as most people call me Patricia anyways.

My predecessor here at Eastwood, which some of you may remember, was named Robin. I think some of you took it easy on Robin until you realized Robin was a man, then all hell broke loose.

Peaches and cream is an insult to any self-respecting panther....

What is this thing the whole world has against sandals and socks?

(I see it as an act of charity - sandals allow air to circulate and I don't want to inflict the site of toes on an unsuspecting public...)
