After about six months since that first sale, I came crashing into December doing great in sales and traffic was looking good on a couple of sites I was running. Around the second week in December, someone pulled the carpet out from under me. My traffic has dropped on several sites and my biggest selling merchant has come to a virtual stand still for me.

The shame is I think I am losing out fair and square to other affiliates (probably some of you folks) but I am trying to scratch my way back to the top. If I can straighten things out, I hope to see another good year in 2004. If not, I plan to re-introduce the pet rock. Anyone interested?

Oh well, just felt like ranting a little....

Swampy_Webber, I'm in the same boat as you.. sales are down this month and traffic is way up. something is going on and I think it might be the competition, but I'm not sure. Just have to wait...

Jason, Swampy said his traffic was down, not up.
If your traffic is UP and sales are down, then people aren't finding what they were looking for, it has nothing to do with the competition.

I think there are just too many window shoppers these days if you ask me. I definitely have the product my visitors are looking for but they are just not buying. Perhaps Christmas put a big hole in their pockets and they are just looking to see what they can buy when they get their first post-Christmas pay check . I think I'll have a little pout myself today - maybe a tantrum would make me feel better!
