The merchants entire database of products that will run on my server and need to be updated everytime they change the price? How big is the file?
I have experimented a bit with a couple of Amazon scripts and they seem to pull the product info off the Amazon site.

I know how to pull info into a page from a database file, but am not sure exactly what these datafeeds are, since I have never seen one.

It varies from company to company, but most of the merchants here seem to operate on the principle of supplying in a text file, at regular intervals, roughly the contents of their pre-sales product data - price, description, buy url, etc..

How exactly it's presented, and what order the data fields are arranged vary from feed to feed (which is why cditty offers scripts for several different vendors, but it's not all in one package).

Also, how people handle the data contained in the feeds seems to vary as much, if not more than, the feeds themselves do..
