    Javi:

Went through the surgery myself ... one of the smaretest things I ever did (although that's admittedly a small list!). Best of luck to you!

Hopefully it all went well. Now don't reverse all the benefit by staring at the computer too long...

Thnx everyone, it went really well, or at least that's what the doctor says. It felt like being tortured during 10 minutes, and almost had a panic atack, but it's well worth it.

First they cut through a thin layer of the cornea and that hurts like sh!t. You hear some sort o drill that can really make you nervous.

You can actually see (and feel!) how they use several tweezers to play around with the eye, and I couldn't close them cuz I had these things that kept them open (Like Alex in "Clockwork Orange").

Then they took me to another room for the laser thingy which wasent that painful.. althoug it did smell like something was burning

After that I had to keep my eyes closed for the rest of the day and when I woke up yesterday there was no pain left and I could see better that with the contacts.. and I've been told it still has to improve

If anyone is considering Lasik... DO IT you will be tortured (about 4-5 minutes each eye)but it' well worth!!

Well gotta go, I shouldn't be near a computer/TV/book/ at least until tomorrow.

    Thnx again!

Congrats Javi, I'm so glad it worked for you.

Us lucky people with good eyesight (mines deteriorating with age now ) don't realise what it must be like for people who cannot see quite so clear. I'm very very pleased for you.

Wow.. it really does keep improving, I wondering if I'll end up with X-ray vision or something like that

I really do recommend it to anyone considering it.

I still gotta get used to it though.. I spent 5 minutes looking for my glasses this morning

Congrats Javi, glad to hear it went well..
Now do you supposed they have a surgery to reprogram the mind so you don't keep looking for your glasses?

Congrats! I'm glad it went well.

You don't make it sound very appealing, though.

I'm basically a complete coward, but I can stand most procedures so long as I can close my eyes and not see what is happening...

Eye operations are kind of difficult in that respect
