    Hi everyone,

I thought after all these months on ABW people might wonder who I really am (like I often wonder about them) and I'm really envious of Catalyst's nice little photo-avatar so thought maybe it's time I added mine too.

Question is - anyone know of a public place I can host my pic in order to do that? I have no idea how to do that. Yes, I'm technologically challenged in that department.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Liz,

As an avatar, pm me the pic and if you want to post the pic directly you can do so in the photo gallery ... http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=frm&...79&f=986605689 click on the paper clip icon to upload the pic to ABW servers.
    Continued Success,

Thanks Haiko - I've PM'd you. Hope you're sitting down - I know it's the right month for Halloween but I think it's still too early to scare anyone just yet.

Hello Liz, nice to be able to see a face with your SN. I think it adds to a more personalised discussion between a program manager and their affiliate/partner base.

PS: Your Halloween worries are unfounded ... your NOT that scary looking.

LOL! Thanks Ray - you're too kind - REALLY.

I agree - in this impersonal world of electronic communication every little touch of personalization most definitely helps.

Too bad it came out so blurry once uploaded here though... I think to clear it up you actually have to start with a much larger pic. I emailed a 45x45 to Haiko so that must be why...

    Hi Liz,

    Nice looking picture.

I hope you don't kill me for this but, after I looked at the whole page here from another angle, I decided to do a test with your picture.

    No, it was nothing bad.

I downloaded your picture to my computer and I use IrfanView to view it. Once loaded in IrfanView, I did an Horizontal Flip of the picture and then I compared how they both look on the same page.

After a few minutes of looking at the one you have here and the one flipped with IrfanView, I think the one flipped look much better when it's on the left side of the posts, because it look like you're looking at us while we're reading the topic. There is nothing wrong with the one you have here now but, since it's facing to the left, it looks like you're looking away from the topic.

I really hope that you don't take my suggestion as something bad since I was just thinking positive when I decided to make this post. I was going to PM you but, I rather get kill in public just in case.

This is the free program I use to play around with your picture:

I won't kill you for it Mr. Sal - sounds harmless enough... I think?

Sounds like a cute idea for the future but in the meantime I'll let Haiko get some work done instead of bugging him to re-upload the pic. Actually I plan on finding a larger pic to send to replace that anyhow because the quality turned out so bad.

No worries Haikster - you're off the hook this time... for now.

The photo-ethicist in me must chime in ... flipping a photo like that wouldn't be appropriate in this case.
