    Arrow Posting issues
I've been watching the who's online to see when users are getting the no permissions error and then looked up that user to see why they are getting the message and have come to the conclusion that it is because the users (new and existing ones) have not clicked on the second email link - these users are in a group called 'Users Awaiting Email Confirmation' meaning that you can access but not post because you haven't confirmed your email addy, to post you need to click on the second email, new member or member who requested the password reset.

    Trust,

I manually moved this account over, you were the most recent one I saw that got the error. I can move them all but then I don't know who all of them are, you I know.

I'll move the other one over also.

Ok does that mean that you clicked the link in the second email and now you can post under the No1 account? Because I didn't do anything to that account only the 'trust' one.

I've merged the trust and TrustNo1 accounts into TrustNo1 the trust account is deleted.

(see http://forum.abestweb.com/showpost.p...39&postcount=2 that was done by account 'Trust' and had the avatar).

    From VB:

New members will not be allowed to post messages until they visit a link that is sent to them in an email when they sign up.

If a user's account is not activated by the user visiting the link, it will remain in the 'Users Awaiting Activation' usergroup.

Haiko, i'm right about this right?:

    http://abw.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x?a=tp...131#2641054131

All threads from the old board thru Jan 16th are over here. So people's new threads after the 16th on the old board are going to be lost forever because you would have to resend all the info again, which i wouldn't do, i know it's a nightmare.

I just requested PW reset for Leader, and this is the second email:

As you requested, your password has now been reset. Your new details are as follows:

    Username: Leader
    Password: XXXXXXX

To change your password, please visit this page: http://forum.abestweb.com/profile.php?do=editpassword

    Regards,
    ABestWeb Affiliate Marketing Forum team
Clicking that link did me no good. It's NOT a real validation link. I still can't post as Leader!

I think it's this email which has 2 links you can click. I think it's the first one you have to click:

    Hello,

You have requested to reset your password on ABestWeb Affiliate Marketing Forum
forums because you have forgotten your password. If you did not request this,
please ignore it. It will expire and become useless in 24 hours time.

To reset your password, please visit the following page:
    http://forum.abestweb.com/login.php?...00000&i=000000
THIS ONE I THINK IS THE ONE YOU CLICK

When you visit that page, your password will be reset, and the new password will
    be emailed to you.

    Your username is: TrustNo1

To edit your profile, go to this page:
    http://forum.abestweb.com/profile.php?do=editprofile

Seems like it works for me. I had a hard time with the reset of my password.
FYI. I'm using a Yahoo mail address to login and the two emails received from "ABestWeb Affiliate Marketing Forum Forums" <haiko@abestweb.com> were in my bulk folder and not in my Inbox. Up to now, I've never had pbs with Haiko messages.

    Leader,

Logout and then try to login with that information in the second email, if it fails, try it again. It will work, I promise.

I don't mind the 1970 year but, where is the Mr. Sal name?

Haiko, I've tried several times now and it won't work for me on my old ID. I've requested my password be reset. I received the email and clicked on the reset link. I received the email with my new password. I logged in and have read-only permissions. I logged out again and logged in again. Still read-only permissions.

    Any more suggestions?
