The sigs were lost in the migration. You'll need to set your sig again on VB. Click on "User CP" in the top menu of any page and then Edit Sig link.

Steve, you needed your old acount merged with this new one, I just did that so now you an add the sig.

    Steve,

Affiliate Links are not allowed in the sig! Please re-read our Rules and edit appropriately.

    From DP's site:
Yes, there is a referral system where you receive a 10% weight bonus when you refer someone (the weight being based on the new user). In simple terms, the more people you refer, the more your ads are displayed across the network.

Umm, yeah it actually is, because the product is free and the affiliate program is basically a contest to see how your marketing efforts compare to others who believe in the mozilla mission, but above and beyond that .... if you want to put up your referal links ... do it on your sites.

Your link will now be removed.

No Haiko, you can NOT promote affiliate stuff on YOUR affiliate site.

    Hey m-boy...

    I’m kinda’ lost here...

exactly what is your ‘sarcasm’ supposed to mean..?
Sounds a little anti-ABW to me... but I could be wrong...

So what are you trying to say...?

And you are, that's why I added the sarcasm tags. I didn't think the smiley would be enough to let people know I was being sarcastic. Obviously the sarcasm tags weren't enough either.

He was trying to criticize Haiko for having an affiliate link, when in fact it's his site and he can add as many affiliate links as he wants, anywhere, anytime. That doesn't mean everyone else can. Especially when it's stated in the rules you can't.

    Thanks m-boy...

You’re right... the tags weren’t enough...
It wasn’t obivious to me even with the tags...
Guess I'm getting a little slow in my old age... lol

    Thanks for clearing that up...
BTW... Atlanta Falcons kick ass in 12 hours...

    Go Falcons...!!!

Don't sweat it. <~BTW, that's a smiley to show I'm really smiling. LMAO.

Go Falcons! (I care less about pro ball, I'm a college ball fan, but being in between New Orleans and Atlanta, they're unintentional favorites, should the pro football bug in my ever arise).

Hope they don't have to play in 2 feet of snow, lol.

Um, my sig isn't showing either. Haiko, can you do whatever you need to do to get it to show up. And yes, I've added it in the User control panel.

OK, did that. It worked. That's all good. My question therefore is: do the search engine spiders get the sigs. Obviously, I would never spam a search engine ( )but another 1,600 plus links would be nice.

One word answer? Yes! That is why I'm 'protective' of who gets them and what they contain - Participating members are welcome to have links (not aff links) to their sites but spamers and the like - I'll turn it off.

BTW, I have seen googlebot hit the new ABW 185 separate times since Saturday.

Stop worrying about post count, and look more to quality, then your sigs will follow.

An affiliate link is a link to a merchant that the member is affiliated with, not their own site.
