Spiderman:
here's just a few of my DEAD ZERO and non-converting merchants for Y2001 from various networks. I won't list the 135 minor CJ player who didn't get more than 300 clickthroughs.

PcConnections 7719 clicks ..not ZERO =13.18
MicroWarehouse 4812 clicks =23.48
Franklin Mint 3167 clicks=$$O.OO
Martha Stewart 3466 clicks =$ZERO
Barnes and Noble 5734 clicks =3.40
CarParts 7211 clicks =5.45
IBM 5318 clicks =$11.43
Landsend 4882 clicks =6.25
J&R Music World 5913 clicks =4.28
The Outpost 6124 clicks= 7.68
Brooks Brothers 2178 clicks =Zero
GoCollect 2892 clicks =ZERO
Ashford 5196 clicks =ZERO
Ice.com (jewelry) 4255 clicks =ZERO
WatchZone 4441 clicks =ZERO
YardMart 1934 clicks =ZERO
FTD 968 clicks =ZERO
Dell Home systems 5622 clicks =ZERO
KBtoys 4132 clicks =3.18

Only a short list of losers that got enough hits to compete in THIS thread:

CJ's kennel:
CollegiateMall 3 sales/2726 clickthroughs.

Elisabeth by Liz Clairborne 1 sale/590 clicks.

There's some more, but they're already out of CJ.

Then there's ShareaSale's kennel:

Heck, that whole thing is a kennel--15 CENTS in months! But the Alpha Dog is

FLAGLINE.COM (This is not the flag place I was cussing a while ago, it's a different one!) I don't see a way to see how many clicks they got, but I know they ate lots of FindWhat money. I would figure it at about 2,000 clicks!!! NO sales. For an item in hot demand!

Other loser merchants (all networks) I have run across don't have enough clicks to be listed. (I think they're dogs anyway, though, so they probably won't GET many more clicks from my sites!)

Leader..
I steadly sell 2-4 flags a day for flagline.
Happened to be in the right spot on 9-13, with all my ads in place and made a bundle.

However, their sales are back to normal again. Flag sales are pretty competitive.

Leader...One of my content sites is about vexillology (the study of flags).
You can't find a more targted audience for the sale of flags.

The big rush for US flags is over. Wal-Mart has them on sale in bunches.

You might want to look at the specialty outdoor designs for this spring. Probably tie in with a garden site.

Personally, ecampus.com has got to be my loser of the year, plus...

ABT Electronics
RefundSweepers
SizeAppeal
WebClothes
A2ZDeals, LLDC
USComputer
ConsumerDirect
CouponClearingHouse
cosmeticmall
and more...

On the other hand, I've had some real winners;

Brandsmall.com
Teno (my best jewelry merchant)
OnlineDiscountMart
Nutrisystem
Half.com
Strawberrynet (until their recent changes)
Gift Service
Gift Tree
fingerHut
Amazing-Bargains (how can you lose?)
Lifestyle fascination
The skin Store
Magazinia
NBAF
theres more that did all right...

Happy Holidays!

For me, it has been:

RaffaelloTies
RaffaelloTies
RaffaelloTies
RaffaelloTies
RaffaelloTies
...you get the idea

Here's what they did to me this month alone:
Sale $648.00 Commish $77.76 --- Reversed for "Invalid CC"
Sale $468.90 Commish $56.27 --- Reversed for "Cant Ship Sold Out"
Sale $859.00 Commish $103.08 --- Reversed for "Invalid CC"

I have a very high tolerance for merchants who don't convert much, or who feel they have to reverse a transaction every now and then, but this is daylight robbery!!!

Anyone else getting robbed blind by Raffaello Ties, maybe we can start a thread and post every reverse sale by them here at ABW?

Merry Xmas to everyone (else),

Haiko,

Don't know yet, still waiting for their replies.

Anyway, don't think they'll bother with replying.

So it's Sayonara to Raffaello Ties from me.

Cheers,
TianTian

Haiko,

I was referring to the fact that Amazing-Bargains.com is for sure. No conversion, just click-through (a-hem, I mean 100% of the sale). For me, it represents a 6 dollar epc, which is better than some of the real losers we get fooled by.

TianTian,

If you want I'll follow up also ... Just say so!

-------------

Chuck,

I'll PM you a deal for $0.10 per click for you! Then I'll include coupon guy in my program so you get them back (to sell them) .... watch what a coup! But after three months (if it takes that long) you have to promise me to drop them ~ for your own good!

Want in on a secret?
Any brick-n-mortar retailer who adopts an affiliate marketing program assigns some wank in their advertising dept. to run the program. They have no sales incentive and budget impressions/clicks as a expense. My experience is diversion diversion and building e-mail lists to spamm offers and in store traffic from their web sites. Online sales are secondary ..with no focused landing pages to help convert. Stay away from the major brick-n-mortar sites who only want your traffic with no plans to increase conversion ratios.

Y2001 most brilliant merchant move: YardMart.com cancelled EcomCity's affiliate relationship with them. They notified me that after 2612 clicks throughs to their site produce ZERO sales they could no longer allow me to represent them ...talk about a lame affiliate manager.

Other LS loosers:
Allbooks4less.com
AllPets
American Express
Avon
Boatersworld
CVS pharmacy
Diningware.com
Flower.com
Giftbaskets.com
LandscapeUSA
Jewelryweb.com
J Crew
Learning Company
Mass Quantities
National Geographic
New York First
Tupperware
Uncommongoods
Playboy
REI-Outlet
OfficeFurniture.com

ZERO SALES in Y2001 reported and non sent me a Christmas card. Boy do I need to make some revisions.
