MSN did something wierd, but I like it!
I noticed on my logs I lost nearly all my traffic for one of my main terms on a site of mine. But I was still making sales? So I searched for this term and MSN, the spider indexed my affiliate link (in the same rank it was), with the description of the merchants landing page. How wierd is that, I have only found one instance so far but I am interested to see if this has happened to anyone else?

Just watch the merchant accuse you of "spoofing" the engine even though you had nothing to do with it

I'm clueless--How can you tell what was spidered? By the results page?
Just wondering cuz I'd like to see if this is the case. MSN beta is loving one of my sites, I'd like to see if its because something I did or something else.

Hope beta becomes real and results stay the same...

When you look at the results page, it will show a URL. Normally it will show an "on site" link. The link MSN gave me in the SERPS is my direct affiliate link. So when a browser clicks on the link, they go directly to the mercant through my link. The user never sees my site, and a click gets registered on my behalf. I am sure it will not last for long, but I'll take it...
