    Just found my #1 site inside another website and from what I can see viewing source there is iframes involved. I am not exactly sure what I am looking at but if this is illegal a lot of people will be thanking me as the site in question is a pr7 or so and has hundreds of pages just like the one mine is in. Haiko I sent you a pm

    This is the in thing that affiliates are doing. Are they opening it in a visible
    iframe, or an invisible iframe for the purpose of creating a cookie? There are so many
    scripts coming out now encouraging affiliates to do this type of thing, I see it all the
    time with Clickbank, and it is against their terms, but they do nothing about it. The
    new popular thing now is to use the embed command to open the merchants site in
    an invisible way to the visitor with the purpose of creating the cookie. There is
    another popular script which some well regarded marketers are promoting which uses
    javascript and activex to open the vendors sites in an invisible window. There is no
    morality in this online business, all everyone wants to do is create as many cookies
    as possible on their visitors computers.

    I think this site should be outed then others can see if their sites are being copied/used like this.

    I'm not sure I understand what's happening on the site in question, but it sounds icky. I look forward to being educated on this issue.

    There's a bunch of javascripts available that automatically pop your site out of frames should someone try to "enclose you"

    <script language="javascript">
    if (top.frames.length!=0) {
    if (window.location.href.replace)
    top.location.replace(self.location.href);
    else
    top.location.href=self.document.href;
    }
    //if(top.location!=self.location) top.location=self.location </script>

    Thanks for the code, Billy Kay.
    I had been following a discussion about webpage hijacking, and using the BASE href tag to stop hijacking. (Thread at http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=53736)

    That method, along with the no frames JS code ought to help protect my websites.

    Later,
    Rick K.
