    Hired Help?
New to WM and spent quite some time on it... only to find out that I'm not ready for it. I used Frank's Tutorial (THANKS), and was able to get the merge working... but having issue that for the life of me, I can't figure it out.

    Using 4 Tier:
    - Index is OK
    - Categories - Had to remove a colum in a table that held a navigation bar to get it to work, so I have a very basic page - header - body (similar to Frank's) - footer, and I get LOTS of extra spacing on merge
    - Sub Cats - Also removed navigation, but 2 column merge works fine
    - Detail - works great - inlcuding navigation.

Tried to make Categories a single colums and still enormous spacing between fields.

I'm willing to hire someone to set this up. Anyone have time and knowledge?

    Mike

First, try using the Sort option in the Source tab. There's a detailed explanation of why it's important in the WebMerge 2.4 Help page on the Sources tab.

And second, be sure to be working with v2.4. While still technically in beta, many changes have been made to the way it handled index pages, with a few bugs for specific combinations of tags reported with v2.3 now fixed. v2.4 is also faster too -- often at least twice as fast as v2.3.

If you would prefer to hire someone to help set that up you might take a look at our WebMerge Consultants List.
